Presenting France to Huiling
Rotaract successfully launched it’s first community service program this week at the Huiling School for people with mental disabilities. The monthly educational program, ‘Around the World’, involves Rotaract members introducing different countries of the world to Huiling participants through geography, art, music and food-making activities.
Nine Rotaract volunteers kicked off the program with France, teaching participants how to make crepes, sing French children’s songs, and craft notable French monuments out of play dough this past Wednesday morning. Rotaractors and Huiling participants alike had a lot of fun, with the Huilingers wanting to know when we’d be back next!
Many thanks to Holly and her team for bringing joy to the Huilingers!
Huiling was born as a simple shelter for mentally disabled persons. Now it includes various types of service and accepts people with mental disabilities of any age and social condition. Find out more about HuiLing on their website .
We would like to thank our partner Crepanini for providing us with crepes to help the students discover the tastes of France!
