Speaker for the February 1st meeting: Alan Babington-Smith

Alan, now 63, is Director of the Beijing Office of LMI-China (Shanghai) Inc.- the China Licensee for Leadership Management International Inc.

LMI, which is based in the USA, has provided personal development and leadership coaching worldwide for 50 years, and currently operates in 60 countries and 22 languages.

Alan’s first career was in finance. For 25 years he specialised in commercial banking, based mostly in UK, but including 3 years in Saudi Arabia managing the finances of a Saudi family, and 5 years regularly visiting Asia.

He has worked in China for 10 years. During 2000-2003, he created 3 Credit Guarantee Funds, under a joint Sino-British Government Project, helping Chinese SMEs build relationships with Chinese Banks.

Alan joined LMI in 2003 to focus on helping organisations achieve their goals by helping people achieve their potential. Alan will be speaking to us about Leadership in China.
