Wokai at Rotaract

This week’s speaker is Sara Jane Ho, who heads Business Development in Asia for Wokai.

Who is Wokai?
Wokai is an organization that allows people to contribute directly to microfinance institutions in China which in turn lend the money to entrepreneurs in rural China.

Wokai is launching a new website, Wokai 2.0! The new website has been redesigned to have a smoother flow and improve user experience. Wokai’s 2.0 has several new integrated features such as a “community” are where users can communicate with each other, an incentive system where contributors get points based on their support and online ticketing for events. Several new features will be added over the next couple of months, including giving teams, a Chinese version and a news section.
