Food Drive

Aiming to provide preserved goods to GuangAi orphanage, Rotaract will be organising a collection of food at a number of carrefour supermarkets.

We will be following a similar plan to the Shanghai Rotaract’s own successful food drive:

Setting up stalls outside the entrance of each Carrefour supermarket. Carrefour customers are asked to buy preserved food, such as cans, jars, etc., whilst they do their own shopping and hand it over to us when they leave.

This will be in early September. If you’re here, we need volunteers to man the stalls!

We also need:

  • Small boxes, rectangular with enough space for 3 tins up, 3 across and 5 long (easy to carry, less likely to fall apart).
  • A stall designer. Have a look at the awful picture below.
  • Someone with a camera.

We’re still in the brainstorming stage, any ideas or comments, please send to david.ronald@rotaractbeijing.org
